Role: Secondary Science Teacher
As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inquiry-based science instruction to lower and upper secondary students. You will play a critical role in preparing students for the Cambridge IGCSE examinations while helping them understand real-world scientific applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach general science or specialized subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at the secondary level
- Develop lesson plans aligned with the Cambridge curriculum and adapt them to meet diverse learning needs
- Implement a variety of assessment strategies to evaluate student progress
- Foster critical thinking and independent problem-solving in the classroom
- Use laboratory equipment and practical experiments to enhance conceptual understanding
- Collaborate with other educators on cross-curricular initiatives and school-wide projects
- Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and colleagues
- Integrate educational technology to support and extend learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in secondary science, preferably within an international or Cambridge curriculum setting
- Strong content knowledge in science subjects
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to professional growth and collaborative teamwork
