As an IB World Continuum School, we offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). Role Summary
As an Elementary English Teacher, you will teach English Language Arts to primary students using inquiry-based strategies aligned with the IB PYP. You will design lessons that foster creativity, literacy development, and global awareness while meeting rigorous academic standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver interactive English lessons that align with the IB PYP framework
- Assess student learning through formative and summative methods
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Collaborate with grade-level and subject teams to plan integrated units
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress
- Use educational technology tools to enhance language instruction
- Contribute to school life through extracurricular activities and events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, State License, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of full-time teaching experience
- Familiarity with IB PYP or other international curricula is highly preferred
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Native-level proficiency in spoken and written English
- A collaborative mindset and passion for working in multicultural settings
