Role Overview: Academic & Social Emotional Counselor

The Academic & Social Emotional Counselor will support students in both their academic journey and emotional well-being. The role involves working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide individualized counseling, develop support strategies, and implement school-wide wellness programs. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a healthy and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field
• Valid certification in school counseling or a teaching license (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in school counseling or a similar position
• In-depth knowledge of academic advising, emotional development, and student support services
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Proactive in developing initiatives that promote student well-being and resilience
• Comfortable using educational technologies to support learning and counseling services
• Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and global education
