Head of Finance and Administration, Ecole d’Humanité, Switzerland

This school is based in Lucerne, Switzerland and is looking for a Head of Finance and Administration.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the Finance & Administration department, including Accounting, Controlling, HR, IT, Procurement, and Real Estate, both organizationally and technically.
• Oversee Facility Management, Marketing, and Admission departments.
• As a member of the management team, you are responsible for financial leadership and implementing EdH’s quality standards with dedication and a sense of excellence.
• Serve as an important and respected point of contact for your colleagues on professional questions, development, and implementation of efficient processes, and support them as an innovative personality in the (further) development of school and extracurricular offerings.
• Act as the contact person for parents and external entities on financial matters.
• Implement the company’s policy and strategy, which are based on the mission statement, in your area with the appropriate leadership tools and training.
• Prepare the budget in consultation with other management team members and are responsible for reporting to the EdH board.
• Contribute to the establishment of a modern Human Resources department and efficient personnel processes.

Your Profile:

• You have a business administration education and a professional certification in Accounting and/or Controlling, with several years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Ideally, you have experience in a school operation and/or boarding school.
• Demonstrate business competence and stand out through extensive entrepreneurial experience and balance sheet security.
• Possess a high degree of self-reflection and critical ability and are used to making and implementing decisions in groups.
• Maintain a communicative and participative leadership style, act as a role model, and are creative and pragmatic in finding and implementing solutions.
