Role Overview: Accounting Teacher (IGCSE Level)

As an Accounting Teacher, you will deliver high-quality instruction tailored to the Cambridge IGCSE Accounting syllabus. You will create engaging, concept-based lessons that promote analytical thinking, financial literacy, and real-world application. You will also collaborate with other educators to design cross-disciplinary learning opportunities that support broader business and economic understanding.

Responsibilities

• Teach Cambridge IGCSE Accounting to students aged 14–16
• Design engaging and differentiated lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Prepare students for internal assessments and IGCSE examinations
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student progress
• Encourage independent learning and critical analysis of financial concepts
• Track academic progress and provide constructive feedback
• Participate in curriculum reviews, school events, and professional development sessions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or Cambridge-based setting
• Strong knowledge of Cambridge IGCSE Accounting syllabus and assessment
• Excellent communication, planning, and classroom management skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Proficient with digital teaching tools and online learning platforms
