Summary
As a part of the integrated Advancement Office, the Admissions Manager is responsible for managing the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrollment, managing the re-enrollment, transfer, and departure of students, providing support in the area of communication and marketing, and actively contributing to continuous development of the admissions and communications processes. The Admissions Manager is an integral member of our team, committed to building enrollment, engagement, and philanthropy at the American School of Paris. The Admissions Manager supports the work of, and reports to, the Director of Institutional Advancement, and supervises the Administrative Coordinator for Admissions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Present the school to prospective students and their families;
• Continually evaluate the admissions program to ensure the highest level of satisfaction of all visitors, the maintenance of capacity enrollment, and the empathetic management of families
• Coordinate any required admissions testing;
• In conjunction with the Business Office, administer the programs of financial aid and scholarship;
• Manage the re-enrollment, transfer, and departure process of current students, ensuring coordination amongst departments (school sections, business office, IT, external software providers, etc);
• In conjunction with the Business Development Manager, collect and interpret data on all aspects of inquiry, admission, and re-enrollment, for the process of improving systems and marketing, and to ensure maximum enrollment of qualified students;
• Act as an ambassador of the School to external institutions or groups (authorities, schools, civic associations, real estate agencies, etc.);
• Perform regular visits and make presentations to key, or potentially key, businesses in the region (HR office of businesses, embassies, relocation companies, etc);
• Ensure that the Admissions Office is regularly accessible and responsive;
• Based on knowledge of the marketplace, the profession, and Professional Development, make recommendations to Understand, update, and make recommendations to improve predicted enrollment models; provide predicted numbers to other ASP offices as and when necessary;
• Ensure that the Admissions office is up to date on the ASP curriculum, pedagogy, etc,
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Institutional Advancement.
Qualifications & Experience
Key Competencies
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree;
• Three or more years in a role or field related to customer service;
• Fluent English speaker. Professional proficiency in French.
Additional languages an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness
• Superior written English skills.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Experience using a relational database/CRM system;
• Ability to create reports and presentations.
