Role Overview: AP Chemistry & Biology Teacher
As an AP Chemistry & Biology Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that help students excel in both scientific subjects. You will foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes inquiry, analytical thinking, and scientific reasoning. Collaboration with colleagues, students, and parents will play a key role in delivering a well-rounded education.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach AP Chemistry and AP Biology to high school students
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Design and implement lessons that meet AP course objectives
- Develop lab-based learning activities that promote inquiry and discovery
- Use assessment data to guide instruction and provide timely feedback
- Support students’ academic and personal growth through mentorship
- Collaborate with teaching staff on curriculum development and school initiatives
- Participate in school-wide events and professional learning opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably with AP courses
- Strong content knowledge in both chemistry and biology
- Effective classroom management and instructional skills
- High proficiency in English communication, both written and spoken
- Experience with international curricula and diverse student populations
- Technologically competent and comfortable using digital tools for instruction
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and dedicated to lifelong learning
