Role: Art & Design Teacher
The successful candidate will teach Art & Design to a range of student age groups. The teacher will create engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE curriculum, encouraging students to explore various artistic media, techniques, and cultural themes. Emphasis will be placed on developing both practical skills and conceptual understanding in visual arts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver structured, hands-on art lessons
- Prepare students for Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE Art & Design assessments
- Guide students in exploring diverse art forms, styles, and historical influences
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Showcase student work and encourage participation in art exhibitions
- Collaborate with fellow teachers on interdisciplinary projects and events
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, or a related field
- Teaching license or international certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
- Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE art syllabus and assessment formats
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
