Role Overview: Art Teacher
As an Art Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging art lessons that help students express themselves creatively and develop technical skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media. You will foster an appreciation of the arts across cultures and time periods while encouraging originality and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach visual arts classes for middle and high school students
- Use a variety of media and techniques to explore artistic expression
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
- Encourage critical reflection on personal and historical artworks
- Organize student art exhibitions and participate in school-wide events
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into interdisciplinary units

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience, ideally in an international setting
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, Cambridge, or similar
- Excellent English communication skills
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Passion for art education and commitment to student development
- Ability to integrate technology into visual arts instruction
