Role Overview: Art Teacher
As an Art Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lessons that encourage students to explore their creativity and develop skills in various artistic media. You will foster artistic confidence, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for the visual arts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement art lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
- Introduce students to drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and design
- Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom that inspires creativity
- Assess student work using formative and summative strategies
- Organize student exhibitions and contribute to school-wide art projects
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and achievements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in an international or similar school setting
- Strong command of various art techniques and teaching methodologies
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated, innovative, and collaborative in a multicultural environment
