Role Overview: Art Teacher
The Art Teacher will play a key role in fostering artistic expression and creativity among students across grade levels. You will design engaging, hands-on art lessons that encourage students to explore a wide range of media, techniques, and styles. Through your teaching, you will help students build confidence, communicate visually, and develop a deeper appreciation for global and local art traditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging visual arts instruction aligned with Cambridge curriculum standards
- Introduce students to various techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art
- Inspire creative thinking and artistic risk-taking
- Organize student art exhibitions and collaborate on school-wide art initiatives
- Monitor student progress and provide individualized feedback
- Foster a classroom environment that supports creativity, inclusivity, and growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years of experience in art instruction
- Proficiency in classroom management and visual communication
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Passion for working in a culturally diverse school setting
