Part Time Marketing & Communications Coordinator, International School of Zug and Luzern, Switzerland

This school is based in Zug, Switzerland and is looking for a Part Time Marketing and Communications Coordinator.

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is a vital part of the Admissions, Marketing & Communications team. This role involves supporting all marketing and communications activities, focusing on implementing publications, CRM management for regular community bulletins, and managing social media.

Responsibilities:
General:
  • Develop and implement school-wide communications for parents, staff, and the community, providing analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Produce and support communication materials and messaging from Admissions, Marketing, Communications, Development, and Fundraising teams.
  • Support school-wide campaigns and mailings to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Edit, proofread, and sign-off on communication materials.
  • Assist leadership with significant communications, such as IB/AP result announcements during summer.
  • Support the Marketing & Communications manager with online and offline marketing collateral.
  • Implement all external email communications through the CRM, coordinating closely with the Website Coordinator and the wider team.

 

Publications:
  • Develop and lead the school-wide publications plan.
  • Implement and create various publications (magazine, annual report, divisional handbooks, etc.), ensuring they adhere to ISZL’s brand guidelines.
  • Commission articles, edit, proofread, and liaise with designers to meet print deadlines.
  • Coordinate with all divisions, faculties, and relevant teams to ensure comprehensive stakeholder involvement.
  • Manage the production of online content for departing and new staff.
  • Coordinate the production of ISZL’s annual “Season’s Greetings” Card.

 

Photography & Videography:
  • Organise photoshoots, write briefs, and ensure the availability of quality images for internal and external use.
  • Maintain and organise the image library.
  • Support and deliver research requests from schoolwide stakeholders.
  • Film, edit, and produce short-form video content to support marketing campaigns.

 

CRM and Bulletins:
  • Manage CRM lists, groups, and tags for various communication groups.
  • Create, send, and analyze regular email bulletins to parents and other groups.
  • Work with the Marketing & Communications manager to achieve a weekly frequency with personalized content using CRM functionality.

 

Website:
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager and Website Coordinator to update the ISZL website as needed.
  • Write SEO-optimized blog posts with the support of the Marketing/Comms Manager.

 

Media:
  • Provide media briefings and create press releases for the Director of Admissions, Communications, and Marketing.
  • Ensure adherence to the External Media Policy.
  • Produce media press releases as required.

 

Social Media:
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager to implement an integrated digital social media strategy.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily on all ISZL social media channels.
  • Monitor engagement across social media, provide assessments from analytics, and ensure compliance with the school’s social media policy.

 

Role within the Wider Team:
  • Maintain open communication and close collaboration within the marcoms team.
  • Assist with and/or attend events and projects, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:
  • A graduate with 2-4 years of experience in a marketing and/or communications department.
  • Highly detailed communicator with editing, proofreading, and writing skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems and a detailed understanding of CRM system coordination.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English (German is an added value).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work in a team.
  • Passionate about continuous learning and professional development.
  • Willingness to work outside normal office hours and during school vacation as needed.
