Role Overview: Business Studies Teacher
The Business Studies Teacher will deliver engaging instruction to students in lower and upper secondary levels, with a focus on the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Business Studies curriculum. You will develop students’ understanding of business theory and real-world applications, encouraging them to think critically and analytically.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Business Studies to students at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
- Design lessons that incorporate case studies, simulations, and active discussions
- Guide students through exam preparation for IGCSE and A-Level assessments
- Integrate current events and global business trends into the classroom
- Provide academic mentorship and support beyond the classroom
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum alignment
- Contribute to school life through clubs, student projects, or entrepreneurship activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent)
- Minimum two years of Business Studies teaching experience
- Experience with the Cambridge curriculum preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Technologically fluent and confident using digital tools in education
- Committed to ongoing professional growth and curriculum enrichment
- Fluent in spoken and written English
