Role: Chemistry Teacher
As a Chemistry Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level and/or IBDP curriculum. You will teach both theory and practical skills in classroom and laboratory settings. Your role includes developing the Scheme of Work, setting and grading assessments, and supporting students’ academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct Chemistry lessons and lab activities
- Design and vet examination papers
- Mark assessments and record student progress
- Organize Chemistry-related events and competitions
- Provide pastoral care and maintain classroom discipline
- Engage with parents during Parent-Teacher Meetings
- Perform administrative duties related to teaching
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience
- Experience with Singapore-Cambridge A-Level and/or IBDP
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for teaching in a multicultural school setting
- Proficient in using technology to support learning
