Role Overview: Computer Science Teacher (IGCSE)

As an IGCSE Computer Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that help students build a strong foundation in computational thinking, coding, algorithm development, and software applications. You will equip students with critical skills for success in higher education and tech-related careers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum
• Develop creative instructional materials that support hands-on learning and problem-solving
• Assess student performance using a variety of tools and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Integrate new educational technologies into classroom instruction
• Foster an inclusive and disciplined classroom environment that encourages collaboration and inquiry
• Provide timely feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents and academic staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related field
• Valid teaching credential (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience, preferably in an IGCSE or international school setting
• Strong grasp of the Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science syllabus
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
