Role Summary: Craft Teacher

As a Craft Teacher, you will plan and lead engaging lessons focused on practical skills, design thinking, and creativity. You will guide students through hands-on projects using a variety of materials and tools, helping them build problem-solving abilities and artistic confidence. You will also collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular connections and contribute to whole-school initiatives that promote innovation and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Craft Education, Art & Design, or a related field
• Valid teaching license or internationally recognized certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in craft, design, or similar disciplines
• Expertise in working with a range of materials and creative processes
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Excellent English language proficiency, both spoken and written
• Tech-savvy and comfortable incorporating digital tools into craft instruction
• Enthusiastic about working in a multicultural school community
• Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to ongoing professional growth
• Skilled at building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
