This school is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is looking for a Deputy Head of Secondary

Northlands was founded in 1920 by two visionary Englishwomen, Winifred M. Brightman and Mildred Ivy Slater. It opened its doors on April 1 of that year to 16 students (both boys and girls) and within a short time it had developed a solid reputation. Three years later, NORTHLANDS stopped receiving boys and became renowned as the best girls’ school in South America. Its main objectives of stimulating students to achieve a high academic standard, always keeping the personal, social and moral development of each student in mind, became consolidated into the School motto of “Friendship and Service”.

NORTHLANDS is a non-confessional, coeducational, bilingual, IB World School with two sites situated in Zona Norte, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The School offers a very high standard of education to children between the ages of 2 and 18.

We are looking for a candidate commited to holistic education and the academic and personal development of our students. The candidate will be responsible, alongside the Secondary Head, for leading the educational and management process, collaborating with the teaching team, and coordinating strategic initiatives aligned with the Secondary School’s mission.

Requirements and personal features desired for the position:

  • Creative mindset and innovative vision
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Teaching degree and preferably a post graduate qualification
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Solid educational knowledge including IGCSE/IB
