Role: Design Technology Teacher
As a Design Technology Teacher, you will equip students with practical skills in engineering, woodworking, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and product development, encouraging them to become innovators and problem-solvers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and hands-on design technology lessons following the British curriculum.
- Teach GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level Design Technology, covering product design, materials, and engineering concepts.
- Utilize modern teaching methodologies, including CAD software, 3D printing, and prototyping tools.
- Guide students in practical design projects, technical drawings, and creative problem-solving exercises.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students explore STEM and design-thinking principles.
- Assess student work through practical projects, coursework, and technical evaluations, ensuring strong academic progress.
- Support students in extracurricular design challenges, robotics competitions, and engineering fairs.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to develop an innovative and future-focused design curriculum.
- Promote safety protocols in workshops and classrooms, ensuring a structured and efficient learning environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design Technology, Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching certification.
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching Design Technology in a British curriculum school.
- Strong knowledge of GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level Design Technology syllabus.
- Experience with CAD software, 3D modeling, laser cutting, and practical workshop tools.
- Passion for STEM education and hands-on learning approaches.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills to collaborate with students, parents, and faculty.
