Role Overview: DP Mathematics Teacher
The DP Mathematics Teacher will deliver engaging and rigorous instruction aligned with the IB Diploma Programme. You will design units that promote inquiry, conceptual understanding, and real-world application of mathematical principles. Collaboration with colleagues and active participation in school life are essential components of the role.
Responsibilities
- Teach DP Mathematics courses (SL and HL) with a student-centered approach
- Develop differentiated lesson plans and assessments based on IB standards
- Integrate technology and inquiry-based learning into daily instruction
- Monitor and support student academic progress through timely feedback
- Contribute to curriculum planning and vertical alignment with MYP math
- Participate in IB training and school professional development initiatives
- Support extracurricular activities and school-wide events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or international teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years of mathematics teaching experience, ideally in an IB DP setting
- Strong knowledge of the IB Diploma Programme and assessment practices
- Effective classroom management and excellent communication skills
- Passion for working in a diverse, multicultural environment
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Familiarity with educational technology platforms and digital tools
