This school is based in Istanbul, Turkey and is looking for a Drama Teacher. 

Çevre Koleji is seeking a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join our vibrant faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the world of drama, fostering creativity, confidence, and communication skills. This role involves teaching drama to various age groups, directing school productions, and contributing to the overall artistic culture of the school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement a dynamic drama curriculum that caters to students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Classroom Instruction: Teach drama classes, focusing on acting techniques, script analysis, stage presence, and creative expression.
  • Production Management: Direct and produce school plays, musicals, and other theatrical performances.
  • Student Engagement: Encourage student participation in drama activities, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Skill Development: Help students develop their acting, public speaking, and teamwork skills.
  • Collaboration: Work with other teachers, especially those in the arts and humanities, to integrate drama into broader educational projects.
  • Assessment: Evaluate and assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in drama education through continuous professional development.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Organize and oversee drama clubs, workshops, and other related extracurricular activities.
  • Community Involvement: Engage with the school community and participate in school events, promoting the drama program and its benefits.

 

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Drama, Theater Arts, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Teaching certification in Drama or Theater Arts.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching drama or related subjects.
  • Strong background in acting, directing, and stage production.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Creative and innovative teaching methods.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in both English and Turkish is preferred.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Passion for the arts and dedication to student development.
