Role: EAL Teacher (Years 7-9)
As an EAL Teacher, you will work closely with middle school students to enhance their English language proficiency. Your focus will include reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills tailored to the needs of non-native English speakers in Years 7 to 9. You will develop and deliver differentiated lesson plans that support students’ language acquisition and academic progress across subjects.
Key responsibilities include classroom management, student assessment, collaboration with subject teachers, and communication with parents. You will actively participate in school initiatives aimed at curriculum development and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, English, TESOL, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, TESOL certification, or equivalent)
- Minimum of one year experience teaching EAL or ESL, preferably in an international school setting
- Strong knowledge of EAL teaching methodologies and curriculum design
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
- Skilled at integrating technology to enhance language learning
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
