Role Overview: Early Years Homeroom Teacher
As an Early Years Homeroom Teacher, you will support young learners in developing foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth. You will play a critical role in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging classroom that reflects HQIS’s commitment to holistic early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver age-appropriate lessons that align with international early years frameworks
- Foster curiosity and independence through inquiry-based teaching
- Create a warm and nurturing environment for young children
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school events
- Integrate digital learning tools to support student engagement
- Observe, assess, and document student progress
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in an early years setting
- Familiarity with international curricula (e.g., IB PYP, Reggio Emilia, EYFS)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for early childhood development and international education
- High level of English proficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
