Role Overview: Early Years Homeroom Teacher
We are seeking a dynamic educator to lead an Early Years classroom and foster a nurturing, engaging learning environment for our youngest students. The successful candidate will design and implement developmentally appropriate lessons, build strong relationships with students and families, and contribute to the school’s collaborative and child-centered ethos.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, play-based instruction aligned with international Early Years standards
- Support the emotional and social development of young learners
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Use formative and summative assessments to track progress
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience with early years or preschool students
- Familiarity with international or inquiry-based curricula, including IB PYP
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, student-centered approach to teaching
