In the Early Years and Primary School, NCIS implements a guided inquiry model where students explore core concepts through Transdisciplinary Units of Inquiry. Role Overview: Early Years Music & ESL Teacher
The successful candidate will teach both Music and English as a Second Language (ESL) to early years students. The role requires creativity, flexibility, and a deep understanding of child-centered learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Music and ESL lessons for early learners
- Design age-appropriate, cross-curricular learning experiences
- Encourage student participation through play, rhythm, and movement
- Foster language acquisition and confidence in English communication
- Maintain a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with teaching teams to support holistic learning
- Track student development and communicate progress to families
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Education, TESOL, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ relevant teaching experience
- Experience with international or inquiry-based curricula preferred
- Fluent English speaker with strong written communication skills
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning and professional development
- Ability to integrate technology into lessons to enhance learning outcomes
