Role Overview: Early Years Teacher
As an Early Years Teacher at ISNS, you will create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where young children can explore, question, and grow. You will implement developmentally appropriate practices that align with the PYP framework, while promoting early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver age-appropriate lessons based on the PYP curriculum
- Foster inquiry, exploration, and play-based learning
- Support students’ emotional and social development through consistent routines and modeling
- Assess student progress using formative and summative tools
- Communicate regularly with parents to build strong partnerships
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan units and interdisciplinary projects
- Participate in school events, professional development, and community initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an early years or kindergarten setting
- Familiarity with the IB PYP or other international curricula
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written English
- A collaborative and proactive mindset
