Role Overview: Early Years Teacher

As an Early Years Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young learners during their formative years. You will guide children in their cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development, encouraging curiosity and independence through inquiry-based and play-centered learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the IB PYP framework
• Foster a warm, safe, and supportive classroom environment
• Encourage students’ creativity, curiosity, and love of learning through hands-on activities
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary units of inquiry
• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress
• Monitor individual student development and provide targeted support
• Contribute to school events, co-curricular activities, and team planning sessions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in an early childhood or international school setting
• Knowledge of the IB Primary Years Programme (preferred)
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• High level of fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Passionate about early childhood education and fostering student well-being
• Proactive, collaborative, and committed to professional growth
