Role Overview: Early Years Teacher
The Early Years Teacher plays a key role in shaping young learners’ foundational experiences. You will create an engaging, nurturing classroom environment that supports cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Through inquiry-based learning and play, you will guide students as they explore language, relationships, and the world around them.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lessons aligned with the IB Early Years framework
- Foster language development in both English and Mandarin in collaboration with co-teachers
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Collaborate with teaching teams on planning and assessment
- Communicate regularly with parents and provide feedback on student progress
- Participate in school events, professional learning sessions, and community activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in early years or a similar setting
- Familiarity with IB PYP or other international early years programs
- Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); Mandarin proficiency is a plus
- Passion for working with young children and contributing to a dynamic team
