GTIIT-Affiliated International School (GAIS) is a private, co-educational day school located adjacent to the Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) in Shantou. The school offers two robust educational tracks: the international program (AIS) for expatriate families and the bilingual program (ABS) for Chinese nationals. Both streams are designed to deliver rigorous academic instruction in a nurturing, globally-minded environment.

Role Overview: Early Years Teacher
As an Early Years Teacher, you will create an engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. You will play a vital role in nurturing young learners’ confidence and independence through play-based and inquiry-driven instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with early childhood education standards
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment
- Assess and document student progress regularly to inform instruction
- Communicate openly with families to support home–school collaboration
- Participate actively in professional development, team planning, and school events
- Collaborate with teaching colleagues to align curriculum and instruction
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching in early childhood or international schools
- Familiarity with international early years curricula (EYFS, IB PYP, etc.)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and enthusiastic about innovative teaching practices
- Technologically competent and capable of integrating digital tools in the classroom
