Role Overview: Early Years Teacher

The Early Years Teacher will lead a classroom of young learners aged 3–6, creating a nurturing and inquiry-driven environment. You will plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that align with the IB PYP framework and promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of students.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement dynamic lessons based on the IB PYP philosophy
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Monitor and document student progress through formative and summative assessments
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary units and school-wide initiatives
• Communicate regularly with parents to support student development
• Integrate technology to enhance early childhood learning experiences
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the school community

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience
• Familiarity with the IB PYP or other international early years frameworks
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• A growth mindset, self-motivation, and enthusiasm for working in a multicultural school
