Amman Academy, formerly known as Sekolah Buin Batu, began operations in July 2008 on the island of Sumbawa, Indonesia. The school was established to serve the dependents of employees and contractors of PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, which operates the Batu Hijau copper and gold mine. Our campus supports a close-knit community where cultural diversity and academic excellence thrive.
As a Partnership School (Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama/SPK), Amman Academy delivers a globally recognized education through the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes. Role Overview: Early Years Teacher
The Early Years Teacher will foster foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and personal development. You will design engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences and create a safe, inclusive classroom that encourages exploration and creativity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years of relevant teaching experience
- Proficiency in early childhood pedagogy and developmental psychology
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- High level of fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for working in an international school setting
- Tech-savvy and capable of integrating educational technology effectively
- Motivated to contribute to broader school initiatives
