Role Overview: Early Years Teacher
As an Early Years Teacher at SMS, you will lead a classroom of young children, fostering their development through structured play, inquiry-based learning, and age-appropriate academic engagement. You will plan, deliver, and assess lessons aligned with the IEYC while working collaboratively with fellow educators and families to support each child’s learning journey.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or local equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching early years students
- Deep understanding of child development and early years pedagogy
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- High proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Enthusiasm for multicultural education and continuous professional growth
- Ability to integrate technology into the learning process
- Self-motivated, reflective, and collaborative
