Role Overview: Early Years Teacher
As an Early Years Teacher at SBIS, you will play a crucial role in shaping the learning experiences of children aged 3 to 5. You will guide students through their early developmental stages using creative, play-based, and inquiry-driven methods that align with international best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging early childhood lessons
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
- Observe, assess, and document student progress and milestones
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child’s growth
- Incorporate music, storytelling, hands-on activities, and movement into daily lessons
- Maintain strong communication with parents and caregivers
- Use educational technologies to enhance learning experiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Valid teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in early childhood education
- Familiarity with the Cambridge or international early years curriculum
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed to continuous professional growth
- Culturally aware and eager to work in a diverse international school setting
