Role Overview

The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Early Years Teacher. This specialist position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design, manage, and deliver engaging, high-standard early childhood instruction. You will lead students through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring they develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills in a play-led setting. You will create a supportive atmosphere that balances academic exploration with a focus on wisdom and kindness. By working alongside a team of world-class educators, you will prepare children for a seamless transition into Primary School and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality, engaging Early Years lessons that align fully with the EYFS framework and King’s College standards.
• Develop and execute play-based units of work that promote critical thinking, collaborative social skills, and creative expression.
• Assess student progress consistently using formative tools to track developmental milestones and provide personalized support for every child.
• Collaborate consistently with department colleagues and school leadership on curriculum development, resource management, and the use of the Bespoke Early Years Centre.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and “home-like” learning environment that encourages children to take ownership of their exploration.
• Communicate effectively with parents to build strong partnerships, providing timely updates on student progress and holistic growth.
• Utilize new technologies and specialized campus facilities—including the splash area, bicycle tracks, and swimming pool—to enhance teaching quality.
• Proactively enrich the curriculum and develop wider school initiatives as an independent and self-motivated professional.

Qualification

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field.
• Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) specifically for Early Years or Kindergarten teaching.
• Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the position, with significant experience in British or international curricula being highly preferred.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Show strong, demonstrated knowledge of the EYFS framework and effective pedagogical strategies for young learners.
• Professional Skills: Maintain excellent classroom management and superb communication and collaboration skills.
• Language: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Technical Ability: Demonstrate the ability to use new technologies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all students.
