This school is based in Madrid, Spain and is looking for Early Years Teachers.

Brains International School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Teacher to join our team for the 2024/25 academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a nurturing and stimulating educational environment for young learners, focusing on their holistic development through engaging and developmentally appropriate practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Curriculum Development:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive early years curriculum that caters to the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of young children.
  • Create and deliver engaging lesson plans that incorporate play-based learning, sensory activities, and hands-on experiences.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a love of learning by creating a warm, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

 

Student Assessment and Support:
  • Observe and assess students’ progress regularly, maintaining accurate records of their development.
  • Provide individualized support and interventions for students as needed, in collaboration with other professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s progress, strengths, and areas for growth.
  • Implement strategies to support children with special educational needs, ensuring all students have access to the curriculum.

 

Classroom Management:
  • Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
  • Develop and implement effective behavior management strategies that promote positive behavior and social interactions.
  • Encourage independence and self-confidence in young learners through structured and unstructured activities.

 

Professional Development:
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and instructional strategies.
  • Reflect on and improve teaching practices regularly to enhance the quality of education provided.

 

Parental and Community Engagement:
  • Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and involvement in school activities.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and extracurricular activities.
  • Engage with the school community to promote a positive and collaborative learning environment.

 

Extracurricular Involvement:
  • Lead and participate in activities and events that enhance the early years experience for students.
  • Encourage and guide children in participating in school-wide events, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Support the development of after-school programs and activities that align with the early years curriculum.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching diploma or certification in early childhood education.
  • Proven experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is an asset.
