This school is based in Mansourieh El Metn, Lebanon and is looking for a Kindergarten 1 Homeroom Teacher. 

Eastwood International School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten 1 Homeroom Teacher for the 2024/25 academic year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Curriculum Implementation:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
  • Implement a variety of instructional strategies to support the diverse learning needs of young children.
  • Incorporate play-based and hands-on learning activities to promote exploration and discovery.

 

Student Assessment and Support:
  • Observe and assess students’ progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve developmental milestones.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of each child’s development and learning progress.
  • Identify and address the individual needs of students, providing additional support or enrichment activities as necessary.

 

Classroom Management:
  • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning and exploration.
  • Establish and reinforce positive behavior expectations, using developmentally appropriate classroom management techniques.
  • Foster a sense of community and belonging among students.

 

Professional Development:
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and improve instructional practices.
  • Integrate new educational technologies and methodologies into the classroom as appropriate.

 

Parental and Community Engagement:
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress, classroom activities, and upcoming events.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and extracurricular activities to build strong relationships with families and the school community.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching diploma or certification in early childhood education.
  • Proven experience in teaching young children in a kindergarten or early childhood setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an asset.
