This school is based in Barcelona, Spain and is looking for an Early Childhood Teacher. 

Overview:
St. Peter’s School, a leading international school in Spain, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and academic growth in line with our school’s ethos. As part of our Early Years team, you will help children develop key foundational skills through play-based learning, hands-on activities, and exploration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons: Create developmentally appropriate lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students while aligning with the early years curriculum.
  • Foster a positive learning environment: Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and self-expression.
  • Monitor and assess progress: Regularly assess student development and learning through observations, assessments, and reflective practices to tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborate with families: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and participating in parent-teacher conferences.
  • Support holistic development: Address the emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of each child, encouraging independence and confidence through a well-rounded curriculum.
  • Contribute to the school community: Actively participate in school events, professional development opportunities, and contribute to the collaborative Early Childhood team.

 

Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in an international or bilingual early years setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of child development and the ability to implement play-based learning techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for fostering growth and development in young learners.
  • Fluency in English (required), knowledge of Spanish or other languages is a plus.
