Role Summary
As an Economics Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that help students understand complex economic concepts and real-world applications. You will guide learners through the Cambridge IGCSE Economics syllabus, develop curriculum-aligned resources, and support student performance through personalized feedback and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Economics to secondary-level students based on the Cambridge IGCSE framework
- Design and implement dynamic lesson plans focused on active learning
- Foster critical thinking and real-world problem-solving through economic analysis
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to drive academic progress
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and co-curricular activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching strategies and share best practices
- Support students in developing strong academic and ethical foundations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or a closely related discipline
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
- Minimum two years of experience teaching Economics, preferably within the Cambridge IGCSE system
- Strong command of English (both spoken and written)
- Effective classroom management and instructional delivery skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Self-motivated, professional, and committed to continuous development
- Proficiency in educational technology tools and platforms
