Role Overview: Economics Teacher (Cambridge IGCSE)

The selected Economics Teacher will teach Cambridge IGCSE Economics to upper secondary students, guiding them through essential topics such as supply and demand, market structures, economic indicators, and global economic issues. You will help students interpret data, evaluate policies, and think critically about economic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach engaging and effective Economics lessons aligned with the IGCSE syllabus
• Develop assessments that evaluate student understanding and analytical skills
• Promote inquiry-based learning and classroom discussions on current economic issues
• Prepare students for IGCSE Economics exams with structured revision and feedback
• Integrate technology and case studies to support real-world economic understanding
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and academic planning

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching license or qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)

• Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English
