Teaching according to the educational needs up to IGCSE, including the appropriate setting, delivering lessons, and marking of work to be carried out by the students.
Prepare course materials such as the syllabus, homework assignment handouts, setting tests, and examination papers.
Observe and evaluate students’ performance.
Ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students, which meets internal and external quality standards.
Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
Create a positive educational climate for the students to learn in.
Ensuring a safe, secure, and healthy environment for students.
Updating professional knowledge and expertise as appropriate to keep up to date with developments in teaching practice and methodology, in general, and the curriculum area of the related subjects.
Preparing and regularly updating subject materials.
Preparing information for inspection visits and other quality assurance exercises.
Organising and participating in social, and cultural activities, and school events.
Perform other related duties assigned.
Teaching subjects: Mandarin (Foreign Language) and any other subjects or others competently are preferred.
Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Education/ Teaching/Training, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing Commerce equivalent or higher.
At least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
Excellent attendance record.
Required language: English and Mandarin.
The teacher should have the following experiences:
To teach students of different ethnic backgrounds Chinese and to encourage all students to appreciate the Chinese language.
Actively study the required Cambridge Teaching Syllabuses and teach the material that matches the expected standards.
Open to give feedback and suggestions to the school on how to improve students’ performance in learning Chinese.
Able to carry out the given task to meet the goals promptly.
