Located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, WCIS offers a comprehensive International Secondary Program for students from grades 5 to 12. As part of the Learning Jungle International School network, WCIS builds on the foundation of a sister elementary school that serves preschool to grade 4. Together, they deliver a cohesive, high-quality educational experience.

Our curriculum aligns with US Common Core Standards, ensuring students gain the academic foundation needed for success in international contexts. Role Overview: Elementary ELA & Social Studies Teacher
In this role, you will teach English Language Arts and Social Studies to elementary students. You will design lessons that build literacy, critical thinking, historical awareness, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will foster student engagement, support individual growth, and encourage a love of reading, writing, and global citizenship.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a relevant field
- Valid teaching license or equivalent certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of ELA and Social Studies curricula
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Passion for multicultural education and international teaching
- Competence in integrating technology to support instruction
- Ability to collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and professional development
