Role Overview: Elementary ELA Teacher
As an Elementary ELA Teacher, you will deliver engaging and rigorous instruction in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. You will guide students through a literacy-rich curriculum, helping them build foundational language skills while fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver ELA lessons aligned with international standards
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
- Use assessments to monitor student progress and inform teaching
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Incorporate technology and multimedia tools to enhance literacy instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning
- Communicate consistently with parents about student achievement and goals
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or state credential)
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience, ideally in an international setting
- Familiarity with international and/or IB curriculum frameworks
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and reflective practice
- Fluent in spoken and written English
