Role Overview
The Elementary ELA Teacher will deliver engaging and student-focused English Language Arts instruction. This role involves helping students build literacy, communication, and critical thinking skills while fostering a love for reading and writing. Teachers at Yuteh work in collaboration with colleagues to enrich the curriculum, support bilingual learners, and create meaningful classroom experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Language Arts to elementary students in alignment with international and bilingual education standards
- Develop lesson plans that promote inquiry, creativity, and academic excellence
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and school initiatives
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive learning environment
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, school events, and community engagement opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, English, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, ideally in an international or bilingual school
- Familiarity with international curricula and bilingual education strategies
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Commitment to professional growth, innovation, and student-centered teaching
