Role Overview: Elementary Homeroom Teacher
As an Elementary Homeroom Teacher, you will teach core subjects including English Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies. You will also support students’ social and emotional development and help build a positive, respectful classroom culture. ISQ values teachers who integrate innovative teaching strategies, differentiate instruction, and use assessment to guide learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with ISQ’s curriculum
- Foster an inclusive classroom that promotes respect, inquiry, and academic risk-taking
- Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress
- Communicate regularly with parents about student development
- Collaborate with fellow educators to plan cross-curricular learning opportunities
- Participate in professional development and contribute to school life
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field
- Valid teaching credential (e.g., QTS, PGCE, State License)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international setting
- Familiarity with American or international curricula
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- High level of English proficiency
- Commitment to lifelong learning and team collaboration
- Tech-savvy and able to use educational technology effectively in the classroom
