Role Overview: Elementary Homeroom Teacher
The Elementary Homeroom Teacher will lead a classroom of primary-aged students, delivering core subjects such as English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. The role emphasizes cross-curricular integration, inquiry-driven projects, and student-centered teaching strategies aligned with both American and IB PYP educational principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver daily instruction across multiple subject areas
- Implement the IB PYP framework in lesson planning and assessment
- Foster a warm, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Collaborate with other teachers on units of inquiry and school-wide initiatives
- Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers
- Use technology to support and enhance student learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar elementary teaching role
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based and holistic education
- Excellent English language proficiency (spoken and written)
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to professional growth
- Comfortable using digital tools and platforms in the classroom
