Role Overview
The Elementary Homeroom Teacher will provide engaging, student-centered instruction across core subjects, while also helping students develop character, independence, and curiosity for learning. This role involves collaborating with bilingual staff, supporting extracurricular activities, and contributing to the school’s mission of developing well-rounded learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach core elementary subjects in English, including literacy, math, science, and social studies
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports bilingual learners
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to guide improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning and school initiatives
- Engage with parents and guardians to support student development
- Participate in school activities, assemblies, and extracurricular programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual setting
- Familiarity with international curricula and bilingual education practices
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Passion for working in a diverse international school community
