Role Overview: Elementary Math Teacher
As an Elementary Math Teacher, you will empower students to develop strong numeracy skills, mathematical thinking, and confidence. You will design effective, hands-on lessons and assessments aligned with international standards and responsive to student needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver math instruction that supports conceptual understanding and fluency
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional planning
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members
- Track student progress and adjust instruction to maximize learning outcomes
- Use digital tools to enhance the teaching and learning experience
- Participate in school events, extracurriculars, and professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level
- Experience with international curricula (IB PYP, Common Core, or similar) preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Passionate about teaching in an international school setting
- Able to adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of students
