Role Overview: Elementary Math Teacher
KIS seeks a talented Elementary Math Teacher to deliver engaging and rigorous math instruction to young learners. The successful candidate will create dynamic lessons, support students’ numeracy development, and foster a strong foundation in mathematical reasoning and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach standards-based math lessons to elementary students
- Develop hands-on activities and differentiated instruction for diverse learners
- Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and measure progress
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes inquiry, collaboration, and academic growth
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues
- Participate in curriculum planning and school-wide events
- Engage in ongoing professional development and school initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or recognized certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching math at the elementary level
- Strong understanding of international curricula and best practices in math education
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- A proactive, reflective, and growth-minded teaching approach
