Role Overview: Elementary Music Teacher
As an Elementary Music Teacher, you will deliver a dynamic and engaging music program that nurtures students’ creativity, performance skills, and appreciation for music across cultures and genres. You will support students in developing their musical expression through singing, movement, instruments, and collaborative projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive music lessons to elementary students
- Teach music theory, rhythm, notation, and performance skills
- Prepare students for school concerts, assemblies, and musical events
- Foster an inclusive and joyful classroom environment
- Collaborate with grade-level teams and arts faculty to integrate music with other subjects
- Differentiate instruction to meet a range of learning styles and abilities
- Use digital tools and technology to enhance music education
- Communicate with parents and participate in school-wide activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least two years of music teaching experience at the elementary level
- Experience with international or IB curriculum preferred
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- High proficiency in English
- Passion for working in a multicultural school setting
- Ability to innovate and adapt instructional strategies
