Role Summary: Elementary Music Teacher
As an Elementary Music Teacher, you will lead students through the fundamentals of music, including rhythm, melody, and performance. You will help students develop creativity, musical literacy, and an appreciation for global musical traditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate music lessons
- Teach vocal and instrumental skills to students from various cultural backgrounds
- Organize classroom performances and school-wide music events
- Integrate music into interdisciplinary projects when applicable
- Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom that encourages participation and expression
- Collaborate with colleagues across grade levels and departments
- Participate in school activities, professional development, and team planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching music at the elementary level
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IB PYP or American standards
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Ability to use educational technology in lesson delivery
- Self-driven, creative, and collaborative educator with a global mindset
