Role Overview: Elementary School Teacher
As an Elementary School Teacher, you will deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons that support students’ academic and personal growth. Using inquiry-based methods aligned with IB PYP philosophy, you will help young learners build foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement creative, student-centered lesson plans
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture
- Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and parents
- Contribute actively to school events, clubs, and professional development activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ classroom teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international context
- Solid understanding of the IB PYP or Canadian curriculum
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Passionate about nurturing young learners and committed to continuous professional growth
